Digital Idea Multi-Media Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) provides small-amount remittance services for foreign migrant workers (hereinafter referred to as the “Service”) in accordance to the Regulations Governing Small Amount Remittance Services for Foreign Migrant Workers.
To ensure the protection of User personal information, privacy, and consumer rights during transactions, the Company hereby informs the following matters in accordance with Article 8 of the Personal Data Protection Act (hereinafter referred to as the PDPA) when utilizing User personal information in the transaction process:
Purpose of Collection
The Company may collect, process, utilize, and transmit internationally the personal information of the remitter and the payee.
Marketing – This includes providing users with promotional information about this remittance service, joint marketing, or cooperative promotion business.
Completion of remittance purpose declared by the remitter.
The financial services industry collects, processes, and utilizes information in accordance with legal provisions and financial supervision requirements (including but not limited to conducting money laundering prevention operations and cooperating with global anti-terrorism investigations).
Financial dispute resolution
Financial supervision, management, and inspection
Collection, processing, and use of personal data by non-public agencies in accordance to legal obligations.
Matters related to contracts, similar contracts, or other legal relationship management.
Consumer and customer management and services, consumer protection.
Information and communication services, information and communication database management, information and communication technology (ICT) security and management.

Categories of Collected of Personal Information
All information provided by the remitter, including but is not limited to: name, nationality, date of birth, ID number, ARC number, passport number, gender, address, email, phone number, occupation, images, photos, voice recordings, fingerprint scans, iris scans, mobile and social media information (such as Facebook, Line, and other platform information, including username, account details, photos) and other personally identifiable information, and specific standard information for accessing this APP (such as: internet IP address, cookie ID and its content, unique identifiers , domain name, device information, usage time, language settings, geographical location, operating system, server records).
Period, Region, Object and Method of Personal Data Utilization:
Period: the duration includes the period for the collection purpose, the data retention period stipulated in relevant laws, or the retention period necessary for the execution of business.
Region: the Republic of China (Taiwan), the location of overseas cooperative exchange institutions or foreign banks involved in the services provided by our company, locations related to the transmission or reception of internationally transmitted personal data, and the location of the payee.
Recipients: Our Company, Taiwan’s correspondent banks involved in fund remittance, the Financial Supervisory Commission, the Central Bank, overseas cooperative remittance institutions and correspondents of our company in the country where the international transfer of personal data is transmitted or received, and recipients designated by the remitter, including the necessary intermediaries for the payee to receive the funds (including outsourcing agencies entrusted by our company), law enforcement and judicial authorities, or other agencies authorized to access information by law, and recipients agreed upon by the user (e.g., companies engaged in cooperative promotional activities with our company).
Method: The use of personal information may be carried out through email, text, message, fax, paper, or other appropriate means that are in line with the technological standards at the time of the contract period.
To facilitate users in confirming and verifying information accuracy during registration or log-in, this APP does not obscure specific fields such as phone numbers, member accounts, ARC numbers, and bank account numbers on the log-in, member information, and bank account information pages. The personal back-end of this APP interface requires users to enter a password for access. Therefore, the personal information in the backend, such as mobile phone numbers, membership account information, ARC numbers, and bank account numbers, which are not considered payment tools or high-risk information, are also not obscured.
Therefore, users are reminded to be aware that the abovementioned information has not been obscured. Users should secure their devices, equipment, and related log-in information to prevent others from unauthorized access, illegal use, obtaining log-in information, tampering, and stealing of personal information. If the user detects any of the abovementioned situation, they must notify the Company to suspend relevant services on this APP, and take appropriate preventive measures such as changing their password. The Company will assist in investigating and clarifying instances of impersonation or theft, except in cases where the user intentionally or negligently causes harm, in which case the user is responsible for bearing the consequences.
According to Article 3 of the Personal Data Protection Act, Users have the following rights regarding the personal data of remitters and payees retained by the Company:
Users may request to inquire, access, or obtain copies from the Company. The Company may apply charges with the costs in accordance with the law.
Users may request for supplementation or correction of information provided they provide appropriate explanation.
If the company violates the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Act in the collection, processing, or utilization of the user's personal information, the User may request the company to stop the collection.
If there is a dispute regarding the accuracy of the user's personal data, the User may request the company to stop processing or using it. However, the company is not limited in cases where it is necessary for business operations, and it must specify the dispute or obtain the user's written consent.
When the specific purpose of personal data collection has been fulfilled, the User may request the company to stop collecting, processing, utilizing, or delete the data. However, the company reserves the right to refuse such requests if necessary for the execution of its duties or business operations.
If the User wishes to exercise their rights stipulated in Article 3 of Personal Data Protection Act, they may do so by contacting the Company’s customer service hotline during business hours.
Users have the freedom to decide whether to provide relevant personal information. However, if the user declines to provide the necessary personal information for processing the remittance service, the company may be unable in perform essential business reviews or operations, and consequently, might be unable to offer the user the intended services or provide optimal service.
